One of this year’s feats at the 26th edition of Frightfest in the UK will be director Jeff Primm’s new slasher, 213 Bones. The film screens this weekend with a cast led by Luna Fujimoto, Hunter Nance, Colin Egglesfield, Francesca Barker McCormick, and Liam Woodrum.
The film follows a group of anthropology students as they discover that studying the past can be deadly in this slick, smart whodunnit horror. When they begin finding human bones and personal property scattered around their campus, it becomes clear that a gruesomely masked maniac is brutally targeting them, and late-night study sessions turn into a frantic race to solve the attacker’s identity before they all end up as a textbook homicide case. It’s left to Sheriff Bracco, Laurie, the County Coroner and their teacher, Kelly, to help find out who the real bone-crunching assassin is before another innocent becomes the next victim.
213 Bones is set to the incredible music of the 90s, with Seattle icons Soundgarden & Mudhoney headlining this legendary soundtrack. However, that’s just the beginning; the soundtrack also features iconic tracks from Duran Duran, Bananarama, Siouxsie and the Banshees, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Meat Puppets and more!
Commenting on the upcoming premiere, 213 Bones Producer John Michaels said, “We are thrilled to be selected in the main section of FrightFest. I am certain that our dear director and friend, Jeffrey Primm, is smiling down from the heavens for this special London Premiere. This is for the audiences and fanbase to enjoy. It was made for you!”
Frightfest kicks off on Thursday August 21, and wraps next week. Check out the trailer for 213 Bones in the player below.
