Award-winning director Mariano Cohn has been freshly stirring about the markets for the past several months with his latest contained thriller, 4×4. With releases confirmed and pending in other territories from sales agent Latido Films, a release in Argentina has been slated for April, and with a cast that lists Peter Lanzani, Dady Brieva and Luis Brandoni.
A young kid breaks into a high-end 4×4 to steal whatever he can find, but when he tries to get out he discovers that he can’t. The doors and windows are locked, like an armoured bunker. He is trapped. Someone on the outside is in control of the vehicle, and they seem to have a plan.
All signs thusfar point to this being a film much more than a mere crime pic. A car that tricked out and a would-be thief that clueless and caught-up in a spine-tingling cerebral psychological thriller that pics at the senses? — The imagery sure suggests so.
