4X4: Don’t Miss The U.S. Trailer For Mariano Cohn’s Riveting New Thriller

Writer/director Mariano Cohn’s new Argentine-Spanish thriller, 4×4, proved itself notably in the festival and market circuits in the last few years as a rousing and buzzworthy allegory on class warfare. Starring an award-winning cast roster listing Peter Lanzani (El Angel), and Cohn familiars Dady Brava (The Distinguished Citizen) and Luis Brandoni (My Masterpiece), the film has since landed distribution deals including with Philidelphia-based Breaking Glass Pictures who’ve already begun streaming the official trailer just above.

A high-end 4×4 is parked on a street of a typical neighborhood in Buenos Aires. A man breaks into it to steal whatever he can find, but when he tries to get out, the doors and windows lock the 4×4 just like an armored bunker. The situation is distressing: he is trapped. Someone on the outside is in control of the vehicle, and they seem to have a plan.

It’s worth noting that Breaking Glass is touting a 100% fresh rating for 4×4 a la Rotten Tomatoes, which is both true and sounds about right considering the review hype. At any rate, the film is currently available through VOD for North America as of February 2, with a DVD release date set for March 9.
