800: Sales Underway At EFM For Guan Hu’s New WWII Epic

Gangster pic Mr. Six helmer Guan Hu is in post production with trailblazing $80 million dollar World War II epic, 800, which centers on a four-day fracas between looming Japanese forces, and a band of Chinese soldiers and draft dodgers who’ve fortified a Shanghai warehouse complex.

The project is marked as the first Chinese production to use IMAX caneras for its eight-month production period. Huayi Bros. is selling the film at EFM which employs cinematographer Cao Yu (Legend of the Demon Cat), action director Glenn Boswell (I, Robot) original music by the U.K.’s Rupert Gregson-Williams (Aquaman, Wonder Woman) and Oscar-nominated VFX supervisor Tim Crosbie (X-Men: Days of Future Past).
