ACCIDENT MAN Sequel Adds Directors, Lands November Start Date In Malta

Just over two years since signaling fans with sequel hopes for his 2018 graphic novel adaptation, Accident Man, plans are officially underway for starring actor Scott Adkins to shoot the new chapter entirely in Malta this November.

Film duo George and Harry Kirby will make their feature directing debut on the project with Sony Entertainment and Six Demon Films back to produce the sequel. Casting details beyond Adkins remain pending.

“We both feel very lucky to be in this position and want to say a massive thank you to everyone who has helped us to get to this point!” said Harry Kirby in a social media statement on Monday. “This is literally a dream come true!”

Accident Man co-scribe Stu Small was last attached to pen the script for the sequel back in 2019 to follow up to Jesse V. Johnson’s inaugural adaptation. The first film is based on the hit early 1990s UK graphic novel by Toxic!, authored by Pat Mills and Tony Skinner, and centers on a professional assassin and clean-up expert whose cavalier attitude changes when he learns his beloved girlfriend was murdered by a member of his team.

The Kirby siblings have long been a staple in the independent arena online working a multitude of fan-driven projects through their K&K Productions label. Additionally, George Kirby brings a mass of eight years of experience next to his brother, along with accruing numerous A-list stunt credits including Marvel’s Doctor Strange, American Assassin and Venom: Let There Be Carnage.
