Hopefully you’ve been following filmmaker and YouTube VJ Ross Peacock’s endeavors via Instagram as he’s been coming together full circle with his newest shortfilm, Acéré.

Production has long since wrapped many moons and months ago following a protocolled filming schedule by Peacock and producer Leopold Hughes (co-producer of Knives Out, associate producer of Star Wars: The Last Jedi), and just a few days from its online premiere, the official teaser is now online to help whet the appetite some.

Following a man on the run (Jean-Paul Ly) hiding from a gang of trained killers, he comes to increasingly-bloody blows against the Terminator-like antagonist (Laurent Placel). We follow this desperate fight to the death, witnessing the carnage they wreak upon each other, toward a bloody climax that will leave viewers reeling.

Recognize the names in the synopsis and you might remember previous shortfilm thrills such as Dead End and The Division, as well as Jimmy Henderson’s 2017 hit action comedy, Jailbreak. Ly and Plancel also share respective film stunt and performance credit that include upcoming The Batman, Jurassic World: Dominion, and the hotly-anticipated F9, to add to their extensive screen credits.

Peacock, who’s been making headlines in the screenwriting arena in addition to his own contributions in documentary film, emboldened by the success of his action cinema analysis channel, Rossatron, describes Acéré as a “bloody martial arts action experience executed to a level rarely seen in independent cinema” in a press statement on Monday.

“This no-holds-barred short film brings together diverse talent from France, Britain and Hollywood mixed with classic Hong Kong-style action.” he says.

Fans can bookmark the premiere link in the player below, wherein folks will be able to talk to the filmmakers and cast before, during, and after the premiere. An extensive behind-the-scenes video will also be made available on March 3.
