Fun fact: Alan Delabie can work the hell out of a pair of nunchakus, a feat credited in large part to the stewardship of well-known JCVD preceptor, Claude Goetz. Delabie is also the star and creator behind Anatomy Of An Antihero which has been taking shape online for the last several years as a webseries directed by himself and Meosha Bean.
That series, currently on Amazon Prime, now graces the martial arts and action niche on the direct-to-video front from Green Apple Entertainment, releasing a feature film akin to the series that has already accrued a raft of wins, nominations and honorable mentions at festivals in New York and California, and at Oniros in Italy. Delabie with Merrick McCartha, actress Chirstina Okolo and actor Eric Roberts, as well as the legendary Bob Wall.
Franck Denard (Alan Delabie) is on borrowed time: he decides to become a vigilante before dying of a brain tumor. His doctor (Merrick McCartha) gives him a new revolutionary treatment whose effects are really strange. But why are Colonel Brooke (Eric Roberts) and Melissa Jordan (Christina Okolo) after him?
Delabie is also presently filming a prequel short that also stars Abdel Qissi (Lionheart, The Quest, The Order), and there will be more to come on that front.
Anatomy Of An Antihero also stars Gilles Nuytens, Angelique Kenney, Richard Sumbu, Tahir Hubbard, Venilda Cintron and Catriona MaCColl for a domestic release by January 2020.
