As for Aquaman, I’m still very much sold on the scope and scale here of what’s being offered from director James Wan. It sucks that Warner Bros. tried their damndest to shove a DC franchise in our faces the way they did with Justice League because so far, this definitely looks like the solo film that should have helped ease into things a bit first. And indeed that’s yaboi Willem Dafoe training a young Arthur Curry from boyhood and on.
