400 Bullets, Pandorica and Black Site director Tom Paton is back in production with suspense thriller, Assailant, featuring British actress and model Poppy Delevingne (Kingsman: The Golden Circle), Chad Michael Collins (Sony Pictures’ Sniper film franchise), Casper Van Dien (Alita: Battle Angel, Paramount Pictures’ Sleepy Hollow), and Jeff Fahey (ABC’s “Lost,” Twentieth Century Fox’s Alita: Battle Angel).

Paton is directing the film from his own script with cameras now rolling at Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis in the Caribbean, marking the latest feature in the region under a far-reaching six-picture production deal between MSR Media and the local authorities of the Caribbean island. The film also marks a reunion for Paton who previously directed Van Dien in Lionsgate’s 2020 sci-fi thriller, G-Loc, as well as for MSR whose prior comedy, Philippe Martinez’s One Year Off, just wrapped with Collins among the cast.

Delevingne’s own credits also roles include King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, and TV drama “Riviera” alongside Julia Stiles. As a model, Delevingne is a muse of Matthew Williamson, brand ambassador for Chanel, the face of Louis Vuitton for the Summer 2012 collection, and cover for some of the most prestigious fashion magazines, including Vogue (Turkey), Harper’s Bazaar (Korea), and Elle (Mexico, Ukraine, Korea, Norway).

Assailant centers on Delevingne and Collins as a couple going through marriage counseling, who decide to head to the Caribbean on a “make or break them” sailing holiday to heal wounds. But when the husband gets into a local bar fight the night before a difficult trek over a coastal trail, the duo finds themselves relentlessly chased by the adversary, hellbent on killing them. Exhausted and pushed to their limits, the couple must learn to work together again if they have any hopes of survival.

Martinez is producing for MSR Media alongside Highfield Grange Studios’ Alan Latham, with Lee Beasley and Karinne Behr from MSR Media, Alastair Burlingham of Sherborne Media and Charlie Dombek serving as exec producers. Production financing is being provided by Sherborne Media, with MSR Media International handling worldwide rights.

“We are very excited to be working on such a brilliant cat-and-mouse story set in the paradise landscapes across the Island of Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis. This is the second film we have shot on the Island under our six-picture deal, and the experience has been amazing. Tom has written a spectacular script and brings a fresh vision to bring the story to the screen. The stellar cast lead by Poppy, Chad, Casper, and Jeff is certainly going to push worldwide audiences to the edge of their seats,” said Martinez.
