The key leg of marketing begins for the new crime thriller, Avengement, from director Jesse V. Johnson in his sixth stint with action star, actor Scott Adkins. Headed for a May 24 theatrical and VOD release, Adkins is now front-and-center, emblazoned on the newest official poster from Samuel Goldwyn Films who announced their acquisition on Wednesday.
While released on furlough from prison, a lowly criminal evades his guards and returns to his old haunts to take revenge on the people that made him a cold-hearted killer. It’s an epic, bloody battle to search for the soul he lost years ago on the streets of an unforgiving city.
Adkins’ next volley of action and thrills arrives next week with Triple Threat in theaters for one night on March 19 and on VOD March 22. That’ll be coupled with screenings in Germany and at the Fighting Spirit Film Festival in the UK next month, and my review for this goes online by tomorrow – and it should definitely hold fans over until Avengement arrives.
