BANDIT: New Indonesian Action Thriller Debuts Poster Ahead Of JAFF Special Screening

Currently on track to screen at the Jogja-NETPAC Asian Film Festival this month is action thriller, Bandit, from director and Project Greenlight finalist, Brian L. Tan. The cast is led by Wafda Saifan and Roy Sungkono from a script by Husain M. Atmodjo, with Tan adding a solid feature to his long resume of shortfilm work, as well as his efforts in television with the latest being Vidio streaming drama, “Theo & Ruza.”

When GATRA’s pregnant wife faces a life-threatening complication, desperation forces him to return to stealing cars. Together with TIAR, his old partner in crime, they steal a mysterious car – only to discover a mutilated body and gun. Now hunted by its vengeful owner, the two bandits are plunged into a violent nightmare where dawn is their only salvation; if they live to see it.

Bandit is produced by Adaptif Films in association with Aufklärung Pictures, Naga Film, and Bali-based Viking Sunset Studios; Viking made their appearance this month at the American Film Market, and will next hold an exhibit at the large JAFF film market in Jogjakarta, before bringing their package to the 76th Berlinale in the new year, with Bandit also in toe.
