BROTHERHOOD OF THE WOLF Gets A Theatrical 4K Restoration In January

I was today years old when I learned that director Christophe Gans’ 2001 dark period action horror, Brotherhood Of The Wolf, was poised for a 4K re-release early next year. It’s currently available to buy, rent or stream but I think it’ll be a terrific chance for anyone who hasn’t seen it on the big screen like some of us.

Grégoire de Fronsac (Samuel Le Bihan) and his companion Mani (Mark Dacascos) are sent to the countryside side by the King of France to hunt the Beast of the Gevaudan, an unknown monster said to be responsible for the murder of hundreds. They soon find themselves embroiled in petty local politics and supernatural conspiracies as they use their unique skills to end the slaughter.

The film stars Samuel Le Bihan, Mark Dacascos, Vincent Cassel and Monica Bellucci, and was written by Gans along with Stéphane Cabel. Rialto Pictures is heading up its limited weeklong theatrical engagements via Alamo Drafthouse in select cities from January 20.
