Craving Horror This Thanksgiving? Try INTO THE DARK
Google “Thanksgiving horror” and you will be overwhelmed with real people’s holiday horror stories involving food or family or both. There are a few films that take place on Thanksgiving, but for a holiday that basically encourages gluttony, there are some slim pickings when it comes to holiday horror films.
Enter Into the Dark.
If you’re not familiar with the series, it is only available on Hulu and is an anthology series with each episode inspired by a holiday. Its second season is available now and while I’m new to the series, I am definitely going to be watching the episode “Pilgrim.”
In the episode, a woman decides to invite actors to her family’s Thanksgiving to reenact the first one. Welcoming strangers into your home for a reenactment to teach your family a lesson on being grateful? What could go wrong?
