CRAYON SHIN-CHAN: MONONOKE NINJA CHINPUDEN Trailer Released

Shinnosuke Nohara, also known as Shin-Chan, made his debut in 1990 as the star of the manga series Crayon Shin-chan, and has since been seen all over the world. The crude, sometimes adult humor of the slice-of-life book and anime that debuted in 1992 offer a stark contrast to the visuals, which call to mind children’s cartoons. However, he rarely enters the realm of action, and seems poised to do so with new film Crayon Shin-Chan: Mononoke Ninja Chinpuden!

The film sees Shinnosuke training as a ninja, and the film promises to reveal the mysteries surrounding Shinnosuke’s birth; is he truly the son of his parents, Hiroshi and Misae? These mysteries will finally be solved with this new film!

Shin-chan will once again be played by Yumiko Kobayashi, the voice of the character since 2018, where she picked up the role from the original seiyuu, Akiko Yajima. The director is Masakazu Hashimoto (Appare-Ranman!), and the co-writer of the film with Hashimoto is Kimiko Ueno, the script writer for the Crayon Shin-chan anime.

Expect an action comedy worthy of the long history of the Shin-Chan name when the film releases on April 22, 2022. Watch the trailer below!
