CURSED EDGE: Don’t Miss The Final Trailer For Oliver Hollingdale’s Feature-Length Love Letter To 2000 A.D.’s ‘Dredd’!

Cursed Edge

Take what you will from the uptick in Dredd fandom seen in the last six years since Karl Urban’s bona fide performance in the title role in 2012. Poor box office results failed the film’s due success as one of the most solid comic-to-film adaptations to date, and the fans have all but made their voices loud and clear in vociferous support for more of the futuristic lawman in action.

One way or a few, it’s happening whether it comes mainstream or from a collective community of independents who love film and love Dredd even more. Enter Oliver Hollingdale, with an avowed interest in sharing the 2000 A.D.-born and bred universe for his own career profusion in filmmaking, and having proven himself thusly with the zero-budgeted 2013 webseries, Cursed Edge.

Centered on several stories from the published case files of the Dredd universe and having crafted and attained an albeit faithful look and tone attributed to what fans loved five years ago, Hollingdale has officially managed to weave the pieces of his seven-part series into a proper feature film. He last announced the move back in May of 2016, and with an official final trailer now arrived, it appears that for what it’s worth, a new “Dredd” movie is officially on the horizon.
