Daniel Bernhardt Jacks Back In For The Fourth MATRIX Film
Daniel Bernhardt is jacking back into the Matrix for the fourth installment which is back in production as of this summer after shutting down in March due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Cameras are rolling in Berlin and with Bernhardt back to reprise his role as Agent Johnson from 2003’s The Matrix Reloaded, rejoining Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss who headlined the initial Warner Bros. sci-fi action trilogy.
Lilly Wachowski is back in the director’s chair minus sister, Lana; Both Wachowskis directed all three films to box office fruition, earning $1.6 billion dollars at the box office from 1999 to 2003, invigorating sci-fi fandom with graphic novel-style thrills and imagery, and cinematic action and kung fu thanks to the efforts of Master Yuen Woo-Ping’s stunt team.
The film also marks a reuinion for Bernhardt who also starred opposite Reeves in the first installment of the current John Wick trilogy.
Bernhardt’s credits also include Atomic Blonde, Logan and Netflix series Altered Carbon. He will next appear in Liam O’Donnell’s upcoming sci-fi threequel, Skylin3s, which screened for Trieste Science+Fiction Festival from this month, and will do so for the Arrow Video Frightfest from October 22, and for the Tokyo International Film Festival from October 31, before bowing in North America this December from Vertical Entertainment.
Rounding out the fourth Matrix film cast are Priyanka Chopra, Jessica Henwick, Ibarra, Neil Patrick Harris, Toby Onwumere, Brian J. Smith, Eréndira Ibarra, Andrew Caldwell, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Ellen Hollman for its April 1, 2022 release.
