DARK ASSET: Byron Mann Is A Fine-Tuned Weapon In The First Trailer For The Michael Winnick Super-Spy Thriller

We now have a trailer for Guns, Girls and Gambling director Michael Winnick’s new film, Dark Asset, starring Byron Mann (Street Fighter, The Man With The Iron Fists, Rise Of The Legend, Netflix series “Wu Assassins”) in a new lead action role from a script storied by Terri Farley-Teruel and by Winnick who wrote and exec produced.

The film also stars Robert Patrick (The Protégé, Terminator 2, upcoming Hounds Of War) and Helena Mattsson (American Horror Story, Seven Psychopaths), and is currently being repped by Amcomri Entertainment’s 101 Films International for international sales at the Marché du Film in Cannes.

Dark Asset centers on the role of John (Mann) as he attempts to pick up Jane (Mattsson) in a bar by spinning a tale involving spies, implanted microchips and the dangerous military scientist (Patrick) hunting him. But what if it’s all true?

Pic is a co-production between Lankis Entertainment, Cherokee Productions LLC and Across The Board Entertainment, and is produced by Shani Rigsbee, Narbeh Tatoussian, Lan Kay, Ned Kisner and Sargon Yoseph. 
Mann and Patrick are also exec producing along with Lan Kisner, Andy Lyon and Michael Walker.

Mann recently starred and produced romantic comedy The Modelizer, with K-pop star and actor Nichkhun of 2PM, and late legendary Hong Kong actor Kenneth Tsang (Die Another Day, The Killer). He is repped by UTA, Echelon Talent Management, and Eric Feig Entertainment and Media Law. 

Patrick’s latest run on James Gunn’s HBO Max series, Peacemaker, a spin-off of the character John Cena plays in Gunn’s The Suicide Squad, garnered huge praise from fans after its first season premiere back in January, as well as a second season forthcoming. The actor is will next appear in Isaac Florentine’s Hounds Of War starring Frank Grillo, and is repped by Gersh and Coronel Group. 

Mattsson makes her reunion with Winnick on Dark Asset having also appeared in Girls, Guns and Gambling with Christian Slater and Powers Boothe, and Steven Seagal actioner Code Of Honor with Craig Sheffer, James Russo and Louis Mandylor. She is repped by Innovative Artists, LINK Entertainment, and Vault Entertainment.
