The press for director Kim Hyun-woo’s new survival thriller, Dead Camping The Live starring actress Son Ji-hyun in her first lead role in a film, has been relatively mild. The trailers are definitely out there though and the film runs at about 72 minutes which some might deem is a little paltry depending on what your own tastes are, and you’re welcome to check for yourselves out there when the film rolls out on May 12. At any rate, I felt like sharing it, because who here doesn’t enjoy Korean cinema of the kick-ass kind?
How kick-ass? Welp, Son plays Soo-yeon, a popular social media influencer broadcasting her remote camping escapades when she’s suddenly attacked by a mysterious group. There’s a twist in the plot/synopsis that sort of indicates that the group in question may very well be pawns in a game that Soo-yeon’s been planning of her own…
