Director Hong Won-chan (The Yellow Sea, The Chaser) is back, and at best I would love nothing more than for my own instincts to suggest that his latest, Deliver Us From Evil, will hit the festival ground running soon.
Actor Hwang Jung-min (Veteran, The Battleship Island) is back as well, and here, he plays a contract killer who, following his final assignment, arrives in Thailand to investigate a kidnapping. A deadly game of cat and mouse ensues when he’s targeted by the sibling of his last assignment, played by the fantastic Lee Jung-jae (Along With The Gods franchise, Assassination).
The official trailer is now online ahead of an August 5 theatrical Korean release from CJ Entertainment, and with footage that wholly promises some classic, Korean mano-a-mano action and drama to entice its target audience.
Deliver Us From Evil also stars Park Jung-min (Time To Hunt), Choi Hee-seo (Our Body), Park Myung-hoon (Parasite) and Oh Dae-hwan (The Great Battle).
