Netflix has been “all in” on original productions for years now. Their slate for 2021 though has shown unparalleled ambition by having a new release out every week of this year. The crown jewel of which is, undoubtedly, RED NOTICE.
This superstar team-up between Dwayne Johnson (RAMPAGE), Ryan Reynolds (DEADPOOL), and Gal Gadot (WONDER WOMAN) cost the streaming company a whopping two hundred million dollars. This makes it by far the most expensive production in the streaming company’s history. The film is written and directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber. He’s the man behind such “four-quadrant” crowd-pleasers as DODGEBALL: A TRUE UNDERDOG STORY, WE’RE THE MILLERS, & SKYSCRAPER (also with Johnson).
