Director Nicolás Goldbart is back with Argentinian action comedy, El Sistema K.E.OP/S. There’s a new short promo out this week following its trailer launch last month upon the film’s premiere Buenos Aires International Festival of Independent Cinema, where it was also nominated in the International Competition section for Best Film.
After finding he is spied on by a mysterious secret organization, Fernando Blanksy tries to discover who is stalking him. But what initially looks like a joke turns to be a nightmare. With the help of an old and quite violent friend of his, Fernando falls into a maze of problems, and his only way out is… by throwing a few punches.
Goldbart is also known for accruing ample share of notoriety for his 2010 quarantine sci-fi thriller, Phase 7, gaining notoriety from organizations such as AMPAS Argentina, festivals at Bucheon, SXSW in Texas, and Sitges in Italy. He returns with his new film alongside collaborating writer Germán Servidio for a cast headlined by Daniel Hendler and Alan Sabbagh for its Argentinian release on May 12.
