ENJU: Alice Hirose Stars In Her Debut Lead Action Role Launching In Spring 2027!

If you’ve seen Hell’s Garden and/or anything I’ve pitched on here with actress Alice Hirose in the cast, there’s a damn good chance you’ve seen how amazing she is on screen. To date, that fact is now being put forth in Hirose’s own new action vehicle with action thriller, Enju, which takes its cues from Ryohei Tsukimura’s Yamada Futaro Prize and the Mystery Writers of Japan Award-winning publication.

The high school students of the Mizunara Academy Outdoor Activities Club arrive at a campsite by a lake bustling with recreational tourists for a training camp. It was supposed to be just another ordinary day of school life. However, the place quickly transforms into a scene of carnage. Suddenly, a mysterious armed group attacks the campsite. They are none other than the vicious criminal group “Crack.”

Their goal is 6 billion yen hidden somewhere in the campsite, stolen by one of their accomplices. The campers are killed one after another like insects, and the high school students, who have all fallen into Crack’s hands, seem to have no hope of survival. But then, one by one, the villains are eliminated by someone. It is the work of the unassuming and inconspicuous assistant advisor, Ms. Yura.

“Teacher…who are you?”

What is her true identity? Can the students of Mizunara Academy survive this hellish training camp?

Hirose stars in the lead role of Enju with a cast that remains pending while the film is now propping up itself with an absolutely killer teaser to start with. The bonus? The film is directed by none other than Shigeaki Kubo who is also on deck for next year with another installment of the High&LOW saga, and the action hails from FCSyndicate favorite Yuji Shimomura who’s cut his teeth with years on hit after hit, most recently including the Kingdom films under Shinsuke Sato’s direction.

Enju firstly arrives in March of 2027 in Japan. Watch the teaser!
