EXPLOITED Reveals First Look At The New Psychological Thriller From Darclight

Actor Jon Abrahams (Scary Movie, House Of Wax) hit the sales floor at Cannes this month with his new directorial effort, Exploited. Darclight Films is repping international sales on the new psychological thriller which also has a first look photo available just above.

Written by 12-time Tony Award winner and film producer Carl Moellenberg (Wakefield) and Anthony Del Negro (Lazy Susan, Anarchy Parlor), Exploited is a provocative story of obsession set on a college campus against the backdrop of a voyeuristic hacker. Real world fears such as personal privacy and camming are explored in this thought-provoking thriller.

The cast includes Sierra McCormick (Amazon Studios’ The Vast of Night, IFC Midnight’s We Need to Do Something), Makenzie Vega (SAW, CBS’ Award winning “The Good Wife,” Netflix Original series “13 Reasons Why”), Leah Pipes (The CW’s “The Originals,” Summit Distribution’s Sorority Row), and Spencer List (Bad Robot and Fox Network’s Award winning television series “Fringe”), Will Peltz (Blumhouse’s Unfriended, NBC’s “Manifest”), Hannah Rose May (Shooter, Ballers), Jordan Ver Hoeve (Netflix’s Huge in France), Andrew Matthew Welch (Blumhouse’s MA), Colin Bates (The Girl from the North Country on Broadway), and Lisa Thornhill (The Family Man).

Moellenberg and Del Negro also serve as producers, alongside Shane O’Brien (Animal, The Boy) and Zach O’Brien (Purity Falls, Secrets at the Lake).

“Exploited has such a captivating and haunting thriller storyline, thanks to the talented Carl Moellenberg and Anthony Del Negro. Jon Abrahams did a fantastic job bringing this story to life and showing us just how this new and exciting cast can deliver scary and elevating performances. We are excited for audiences to experience the realistic and suspenseful film that this phenomenal team has created,” said Darclight Films’ chairman Gary Hamilton.

Moellenberg, chairman of Dominion Pictures, said “I have had the pleasure of working with many incredible casts and this entire young ensemble is extremely talented. You will be seeing much more of them in the future as six of the cast members have gone on to book or film major roles on highly visible films/series yet to be released. “

Del Negro, an actor, producer and writer and part of the senior management of the O’Briens’ Stargazer Films, added “Our villain is living out their own twisted version of Rear Window, in this stressful world of today’s millennials—who are also exploring their sexuality. A script for a sequel has already been written. “

Abrahams’s credits also include his directorial debut, All At Once, also starring Jason Biggs and Scott Caan, Universal Pictures’ Meet the Parents with Robert De Niro, Ben Stiller, and Owen Wilson, and Universal Pictures and StudioCanal’s Non-Stop with Liam Neeson, Lupita Nyong’o, Michelle Dockery, and Julianne Moore.
