Far East Film Festival XXVIII: More Than Six-Dozen Titles From Around The World In The Official Line-Up

The 28th edition of the Far East Film Festival is set to kick of its nine-day event on April 24. The organization debuted its official poster art for this year’s edition by award-winning artist Andy Rementer which you can view below, and as of Thursday, the official announcements have been made…

That is, 76 titles from 12 countries, among which 52 will be presented in-competition and 24 out of competition; a total of 8 world premieres, 18 international premieres, 22 European premieres, and 20 Italian premieres therein with Anthony Chen’s Singaporean drama, We Are All Strangers, premiering as the opening title.

The the closing film will be announced next week, while the line-up itself is replete with some choice familiars like Lee Sang-il’s Kokuho, Giddens Ko’s spectacle, Kung Fu and Njo Kui-Ying’s Road To Vendetta, Larry Yang’s The Shadow’s Edge, Joko Anwar’s Ghost In The Cell, and classics and faves like Takashi Miike’s 13 Assassins, Kazuya Shiraishi’s The Blood Of Wolves and Juzo Itami’s Tampopo among several celebrating actor Yakusho Koji.
