Actress Veronica Ngo has surged from singer, model and actress to a local phenomenon and source of inspiration. Films like The Rebel, Clash, CTHD: The Green Destiny, Bright and Star Wars: The Last Jedi certainly propel the boost now moving things a little further going into 2019 with Furie, launched in sales at Cannes back in May signaling another prospective turn in Vietnamese action for its February 22 release.
Hailing from Studio 68 and international sales company Arclight Films, the first official teaser is out now to the credit of director Le Van Kiet who guides our heroine from the comforting trenches of her secluded village life back into the seedy criminal underworld with her daughter now in the throes of an organ trafficking ring. One of the biggest feats will certainly be the action courtesy of Kefi Abrikh who has been the center of attention a few times here on our website.
Not to be outdone by her own stardom, Ngo still has her hands involved in a number of things – one of which you needn’t look further than MMA star Cung Le’s own developement of action thriller, The Target. It’s still early and so it may very well be just the start of a surge for the actress whose latest film will release locally titled Hai Phượng as the rest of the world abroad awaits what arises as Furie in some form or another.
