FURIE: Veronica Ngo Lays The Smackdown In The Official Trailer

Actress Veronica Ngo is exiting 2018 on a pretty high note. With a documentary about her life in the midst covering the Star Wars: The Last Jedi co-star’s spanning career in film on both sides of the lens and in several areas, her latest push, Furie (a.k.a. Hai Phoung), is guaranteed to leave a mark in the new year.

Director Le Van Kiet shepherds the tale telling of a female-fronted action adventure that takes a road previously, well, Taken (no pun otherwise intended). Ngo plays a former gangster trying to live an idyllic life and is suddenly forced back into the underworld from which she left in order to rescue her daughter.

Kefi Abrikh is the man behind the action and his credentials are wholly worth looking up on IMDb, and even YouTube where he’s partaken with folks on several projects showcasing independent action.

February 22 is the date for its Vietnamese release, so there’s plenty of time for Westerners in my time zone to take notice with Well Go USA likely handing this one a March 1 select theatrical release if their usual week-long window strategy sticks – That’s only if they decide to take it to theaters, which, ideally, would be great considering Ngo has earned as much as she has…

We’ll see what plays out.
