GIRL COPS: Jung Da-Won’s Odd Couple Crime-Solving Romp Lands A First Trailer

Second-time director Jung Da-won is poised to make an impression this May with the release of his newest action comedy, Girl Cops. Two posters have already begun making the rounds while we also have a first trailer this week from CJ Entertainment.

Actress Ra Mi-ran plays Mi-young, a police station public service worker whose once legendary detective career has since slowed down after marriage. She’s joined by Lee Sung-kyung who plays Ji-Hye, a bumbling rookie cop then demoted to working in the same public service office.

The plot picks up when the two find themselves embroiled in solving a criminal case. You can pretty much get the idea from here on with what the trailer imposes and it looks like it’ll be a fine watch. May, it is – although I’m a little keen on believing there’ll be a title change of some kind after this. We’ll see.
