Ferguson: Ilsa Faust Will Return For More ‘Missions’ With Cruise And McQuarrie

They say “…if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” Well, invariably, in the case of Tom Cruise and Chris McQuarrie, it appears they’re not fixing shit after totaling near $1.5 billion dollars between the last two Mission: Impossible films.

The past month and change have been much ado with the duo reuniting for another two installments after successfully garnering appeal from fans with Mission: Impossible – Fallout. Now dated for July 23, 2021 and August 5, 2022, the first of the two upcoming for the Mission octalogy is now confirming the return of actress Rebecca Ferguson’s Ilsa Faust who made her entry in the 2016 entry, Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation.

Faust’s debut in Rogue Nation showed her more than capable as Hunt’s equal on multiple occasions as her story unfolded going into Fallout. Other cast members remain pending, new or returning, though it’d be reasonable to see Ving Rhames and Simon Pegg back in the mix.

Ferguson, who returns to theaters in June co-starring in Men In Black: International and will star in Denis Villeneuve’s Dune re-adaptationn can currently be seen in Joe Cornish’s King Arthur riff, The Kid Who Would Be King. The actress confirmed her return to the Mission team during Lorraine Kelly’s program, Lorraine, on ITV:
