IRON FIST SEASON 2: The New Date Teaser Reveals More Of The Iconic Mask

The second season of Netflix series, Iron Fist, hasn’t even aired yet, but the wee hours of Saturday morning proved positive for the Marvel series with its PR campaign in full swing. Last week’s teaser itself, sampling the goods of the second show overseen by showrunner Raven Metzner, drew quite an impression while residual voices of those bearing witness to some more exclusive goods at SDCC this month rang even better.

As great as this is, it’s also a very necessary result given the criticism received for the first season’s handling, otherwise putting starring actor Finn Jones in an even more approving position for comic book fans. Even moreso, the new date announcement teaser on Saturday finally brought things closer to full circle with the appearance of the iconic mask as seen in the comics from creators Roy Thomas and Gil Kane, ultimately signaling the possibility that Iron Fist will not only look better, but grow more into his own as a superhero apart from his Defenders counterparts.

Season 2 furthers the transformation of Danny, a character with a fish out of water coming of age story making his way in a harsh new world, battling to work out who he is. This season, Danny has promised that with Matt Murdock gone, he will step up and protect his city. But a sinister plot twist threatens his very identity and he must conquers his villains to protect the town and people he holds close to his heart.

Amping up their Daughters Of The Dragon profile are actresses Jessica Henwick and Luke Cage co-star Simone Missick, with a cast of returning and new faces that list Jessica Stroup, Sacha Dhawan and Alice Eve for a September 7 premiere.
