Daydreaming director Lee Gun takes Go (or Baduk in Korean) to a whole new level of brutal following Jo Bum-gu’s 2014 hit, The Divine Move. He’s got actor Kwon Sang-woo leading the way this time in a mysterious character from the original film now in the new prequel, The Divine Move 2: The Wrathful, which opens next month from CJ Entertainment.
The film sees Kwon in the role of Gwi-soo, who re-emerges into the unforgiving fray of gangsters and baduk players to settle the score in the years since the death of his baduk mentor. Also starring are Kim Hee-won and Kim Sung-kyun for the film’s initial release in South Korea beginning November 7 from CJ Entertainment.
