I feel like at this point watching Tom Cruise run is very much like watching a car chase. The tone, pacing and energy it takes to emulate an action sequence akin to a mechanical vehicle is something Cruise and director Christopher McQuarrie are amply good at, casting zero doubt at just how much it signifies Cruise’s action stardom over the years.
