JOHN WICK 4 Adds Marko Zaror

Deadline is reporting that Chilean action star Marko Zaror will join the cast of Chad Stahelski’s fourth installment of the John Wick saga from Lionsgate. Zaror’s addition tops an already sizeable bevy of action talents taking aim at the franchise with the martial arts star reuniting with Undisputed 3: Redemption and Savage Dog star Scott Adkins, and fellow action stalwarts Donnie Yen and Hiroyuki Sanada.

Rounding out the cast are Rina Sawayama, and Shamier Anderson, and franchise regular Lance Reddick, all next to titular franchise star Keanu Reeves as he returns to his journey as the afflicted ex-hitman now on the run from his very criminal underworld after avenging the murder of his canine keepsake in the first film, killing a member of the high table who attempted to silence him after a job, and fighting back against high table only to be betrayed and left for dead.

If you’ve seen the films, you know the players and how they roll. Justin Kroll’s exclusive at Deadline notes that Zaror will certainly play one of Wick’s adversaries, which ought to cook up some sure fire excitement among fans.

Zaror broke out from obscurity as a stunt performer, starring in a number of regional independent action productions that have become cult favorites in the last fifteen years. He’s best known for credits like Chinango, Kiltro, MirageMan, swave spy thriller Mandrill and pulse-pounding thriller, Redeemer, in addition to appearances in Machete Kills with Danny Trejo, a cameo role in Fox’s Alita: Battle Angel, and briefly in the TV series action horror incarnation, From Dusk ‘Til Dawn.

Zaror recently completed filming on upcoming miniseries, El Puño Del Condor (The Fist Of The Condor) with Kiltro, MirageMan, Mandrill and Redeemer helmer Ernesto Diaz Espinoza, which is now in post-production. He also stars in upcoming thriller, Invincible with Johnny Strong, and is currently poised to be seen by wider audiences in upcoming fantasy adventure, The Green Ghost, which recently screened for the Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival.

The tentatively-titled John Wick 4 is due on May 27, 2022.
