JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 3 – PARABELLUM: Keanu Reeves Dreams The Impossible In The Official Trailer

The stage is set and war is coming as Keanu Reeves re-enters the fray once more in the upcoming release of Chad Stahelski’s John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum. A week of stirring excitement with a trailer tease and poster art on Tuesday is what now sets up the first official trailer bringing fans back into the fold for another round of double taps, gun-jitsu takedowns and fisticuffs orchestrated in part by Stahelski’s alpha pack of stunt professionals at 87Eleven.

Also on the roster with the ever-dilligent and fight-ready Reeves are the likes of Halle Berry whose career of late now sees this production as first of what’s to come for the actress who has been pounding the pavement for more action roles. She emerges in the third installment of this action franchise for the role of Sofia to help pepper things a bit along with a raft of action talent listing Mark Dacascos, Tiger Hu Chen, Yayan Ruhian and Cecep Rahman to name a few.

John Wick (Keanu Reeves) is on the run for two reasons… he’s being hunted for a global $14 million dollar open contract on his life, and for breaking a central rule: taking a life on Continental Hotel grounds. The victim was a member of the High Table who ordered the open contract. John should have already been executed, except the Continental’s manager, Winston, has given him a one-hour grace period before he’s “Excommunicado” – membership revoked, banned from all services and cut off from other members. John uses the service industry to stay alive as he fights and kills his way out of New York City.

Rounding out the mix of new and returning principles are Ian McShane, Lawrence Fishburne and Lance Reddick, and actresses Anjelica Huston, Ruby Rose and Asia Kate Dillon with Jason Mantzoukas, Hiroyuki Sanada and many more. A previous report noted Common wouldn’t be in the film but that could be a ruse.

Here’s to waiting and seeing in the meantime as May 17 nears.
