Last October was a great time for director Nikhil Nagesh Bhat following the acquisition of his new action thriller, Kill. The Hindi-language thriller is a milestone success for Southeast Asian action cinema among many titles, including the last several years.
Nowadays, with Universal Pictures’ Monkey Man leaning in the momentum, Bhat’s new flick has arrived with an official teaser – one ripe with the suitable action beats and gore, and buzzy review quotes to meet the demand. Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions are releasing the film in theaters on July 4.
When army commando Amrit (Lakshya) finds out his true love Tulika (Tanya Maniktala) is engaged against her will, he boards a New Delhi-bound train in a daring quest to derail the arranged marriage. But when a gang of knife-wielding thieves led by the ruthless Fani (Raghav Juyal) begin to terrorize innocent passengers on his train, Amrit takes them on himself in a death-defying kill-spree to save those around him — turning what should have been a typical commute into an adrenaline-fueled thrill ride.
