A little birdy sent a few promo assets my way with new sci-fi action flick, Kill/Save. Set to release on streaming platforms beginning November 17, Kill/Save features Matt Testro and Stephanie Gil, along with Brian Austin Green and Duane Henry.
In a quarantined megacity where physical reality has become unbearable, Martin, an isolated programmer, rejects the metaverse until an AI prompts an unexpected romance with vibrant VR streamer Teresa. When Teresa vanishes inside an advanced immersion pod, Martin hacks into a lethal darknet survival game to rescue his missing girlfriend from a hyper-realistic, high-stakes virtual world.
The announcement’s staunch clarity on the film’s abstinence of AI as part of its production framework is being made very loud and clear, which I’m personally cool with.
Kryuchkov directs from a script he co-wrote with producer Olga Loyanich, with set designs crafted from scratch in custom CGI by VFX supervisor Joel Codina (The Mandalorian, The Boys, Star Trek), and action sequences by Kryuchkov who is said to be a twenty-year veteran of Chinese martial arts.
