Korean movie fans akin to a hefty serving of sprawling war epics will have plenty to pine for this Fall with The Great Battle from director Kim Kwang-Sik. The latest launch trailer is now online ahead of an expected September 19 release and featuring The King star Jo In-Sung and The Swindlers co-star Park Sung-Wong with award-winning TV actor Nam Joo-Hyuk in his feature film debut.
In 645AD, the Tang Dynasty’s emperor Li starts his invasion into Goguryeo, one of the ancient kingdoms of Korea. One victory after another, the Tang army marches into Ansi, protected by General Yang, the lord of the fortress. Abandoned by his country and outnumbered by thousands, the brave general gathers his men and women to face the Tang army on his own.
