KUNG FU: Brand New Trailer For Giddens Ko’s Big-Scale Taiwanese Martial Arts Fantasy Flick

Giddens Ko’s new martial arts fantasy, Kung Fu, is shaping up really well in its campaign. The teasers have all done their duty – to tease – but we now have an exorbitant trailer that really sets things in motion with actors Leon Dai, Kai Ko, Berant Zhu, Gingle Wang, Liu Kuan-Ting, and Tseng Wan-Ting at the forefront.

Giddens KO assembled Golden Horse-winning actors Leon DAI, Kai KO and Berant ZHU to go on a modern fantastic adventure of two high school losers and we will witness how they learn the Kung Fu in a bittersweet symphony.

High school loser student Yuan accidentally aids a bullied, homeless man, only to find out later that this man is a Kung Fu master resurrected for a 500-year entanglement with his berserk, evil fellow swordsman. In the present day, Yuan and his fellow Ah-yi are taken as disciples by the master. At first, they enjoy following the master’s order to uphold justice while also earning a brief satisfaction and the favor of Yi-jing, another female disciple. But soon they will also face the hard side of humanity, learn about their insufficiency, and taste the bitter reality the hard way, as the fight between the master and his rival escalates.

Kung Fu is billed as Taiwan’s biggest film production in a decade, with a budget of $9.1 million dollars. Based on the director’s own 2005 novel, the film is produced by Lu Wei-Chun for Machi Xcelsior Studios, and features action sequences by Chang Jae-wook (Gintama, Real) and his Triple A action team.
