LEGION MAXX: Dominique Vandenberg Is A Messenger Of Death In The Official Trailer

It’s been thirteen years since actor, martial artist and former soldier Dominique Vandenberg laid claim to stunt professional Jesse V. Johnson’s then-burgeoning directing career at the turn of the century. Nowadays you can find the two back in each other’s purview as Evolutionary Films commences the campaign for their latest pairing, Legion Maxx, which also reintroduces Louis Mandylor (The Debt Collector) once more to expectant fans.

Maxx is a legionnaire turned mercenary. When a mission in South America goes wrong Maxx is left for dead, but he is nursed back to health and reborn with a new outlook on life. He tries to live tranquilly within the confines of his new beliefs surrounded by his new friends at a church. But his peaceful days are short-lived when mercenaries he used to work with cross his path again and he is forced to revisit and face his own demons. His brutal past, war and violence have come looking for him again. His path to redemption is interrupted and Maxx becomes an avenging warrior using the skills that were his trade.

Given the industrial shift that indies have seen, don’t expect a release date any time soon, especially considering the gears are still slowly turning for Johnson’s most recent two turns at the helm: Avengement and Triple Threat – both which could fall very well into a first quarter 2019 release. At least tentatively however, fans attentive to Johnson’s career progression can chalk Legion Maxx as another to look forward to in time amply spent watching worthwhile action films.
