LEOPARD Lunges With A Purpose In The Official Shortfilm Trailer

Stagg Forest Films is busy at the American Film Market this week touting a handful of its features and shortform proof of concepts. One such in the latter is Leopard which caught my eye over the weekend while sifting through e-mails, with a trailer and poster currently making the rounds.

Diego is being a dick, and Tish doesn’t know why. Is he jealous because his little sister is an incredible artist while he’s just a poser playing JV soccer (sorry, “football”)? Or is it because their parents have been fighting ever since they immigrated to Canada? Tish is gonna find out.

A sibling story about fitting in, artistic expression, and throat ripping Kung Fu.

I read the pitch before seeing the teaser and was instantly drawn to it. Leopard had its first run just last month at the 32nd Austin Film Festival, and sits packaged with other feature projects in toe from award-winning director Dan Abramovici.

“At its core, this is a heartfelt story about siblings and fitting in,” said Abramovici. “But made remarkable with wire-fu and badass anime. It’s small, and fantastic all at once.”
