Author Mirza Waheed’s acclaimed 2011 debut novel, “The Collaborator,” now serves as the basis for the new thriller drama, Line Of Control. The official trailer is online as well for a film directed by Travis Hodgkins.
During the Kashmir insurgency in 1993, a teenage boy’s best friend disappears amid the escalating violence. Determined to find him, the boy is coerced into working for an Indian Army captain, entering fields of fallen fighters to recover identification cards and weapons. Pushed to the edge and confronted with impossible choices that test his morality, loyalty, and sense of self, he discovers the true meaning of friendship, loss, and survival.
Vision Films announced the pic earlier this month, describing it as “a deeply personal perspective on the political unrest, violence and atrocities surrounding the Line of Control – the boundary separating Indian-administered Kashmir from Pakistan-administered Kashmir.” Production reportedly consulted with reps for the Indian Army to help ensure military accuracy. Principal photography took place in the Caucasus Mountains of Georgia, where the filmmakers received military support and protection from the Georgian military because of ongoing tensions in the region.

Line Of Control enjoyed rave reviews while screening at festivals in San Diego, Mumbai, the UK and South Africa, as well as in Jordan, in Turkey. Vision Films will release Line Of Control to rent or purchase on VOD and Digital beginning October 6, 2026
The film stars Rudi Dharmalingam, Nitin Ganatra, Vikram Kapadia, Nikhil Singh Rai and Georgian Indian model and emerging actress Anastasia Jairath.
