Heralded Hollywood exec producer Mario Kassar’s recent exploits in Southeast Asia are no longer a visual mystery with the first teaser footage now running for forthcoming sci-fi action thriller, Foxtrot Six. The film marks Randy Korompis’ directorial debut, and it’s a pretty sizeable one for a film of its kind it its own region, backed by a budget of up to ten million (last we heard) and slated to be the first of hopefully several initial Hollywood-style blockbuster Southeast Asia productions in recent memory.
Exact plot details are super thin though the initial teaser poster, plus the teaser and the newest poster just beneath give way to a clear view of a dystopian setting laden with heavy artillery and weapons along with a bit of Indonesian fight fare to help tease some, courtesy of Mile 22 star Iko Uwais’s own action design unit. Oka Antara and actress Julie Estelle of The Raid 2 and Headshot fame star in the ambitious new action thriller next to actors Arifin Putra, Rio Dewanto, Chicco Jerikho and Edward Akbar with Verdi Soelaiman, Mike Lewis and Miller Khan with Gisellma Aulasajidah and Aurélie Moeremans.
Foxtrot Six hails from Rapid Eye Pictures and East-West Synergy with MD Pictures releasing the film in 2019.
