MASTER: Check Out A Supercharged First Look At The Upcoming Animated Martial Arts Thriller From Pop Willy And Steamroller

Ever the curious type to find animators who are keen on kung fu thrills to whet your appetite? Enter the world of Master, created by 20-year animation vet Jamaal Bradley who is proudly touting the latest trailer launch as of Tuesday.

The project announced its acquisition by Central Florida-based Steamroller Studios, with whom Bradley’s Pop Willy Productions will be joining forces to develop an explosive animated feature based on the concept you now see above.

Master follows the story of Olivia, a once-promising martial arts champion who is on a journey to guide her family to what she believes is a better life. Along the way, Olivia discovers that the life she is leaving behind is the one she should be fighting for.

Peter Ramsey (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Rise of the Guardians) is serving as executive producer on the new film with a release date currently pending.

Steamroller is best known for providing their high-end animation services clients, and contributing to major blockbuster films, video games and theme park attractions, with select credits like The Nut Job 2, Fortnite, Mortal Kombat 11 and Cyberpunk 2077. The company’s own 2020 short, Spice Frontier, earned major praise and accolades from festival audiences at Dragon Con, Florida Animation, SHORT to the Point, I’m Not Gonna Move to L.A. and Top Shorts to name a few.

In addition to his services at PopWilly, Bradley also serves as a senior animator at Valve Software in Seattle, having previously worked as supervising animator at DreamWorks Animation.

It’s earlys days as we speak with the trailer now making the rounds via Twitter as well. As for Master, this looks like something martial arts fans like myself can’t see soon enough.
