Matt Reeves, Robert Pattinson To Return For A Sequel To THE BATMAN

CinemaCon is the place to be for the latest developments and announcements on some of the biggest titles to make the news rounds. As of a short while ago, that finally includes confirmation of a sequel to Matt Reeves’ hit adaptation of The Batman, with Reeves returning to direct leading man Robert Pattinson back in the cape and cowl.

Reeves’ first incarnation centers on our titular crime fighter’s second year as the Caped Crusader, unfolding a series of events plaguing Gotham City with terroristic threats escalating and stoking fear and panic thanks to The Riddler, portrayed by Paul Dano. The film, which also stars Zoë Kravitz as Selena Kyle (a.k.a. Catwoman), Colin Farrell as Ozwald Cobblepot (a.k.a. The Penguin), John Turturro as Carmine Falcone and Jeffery Wright as GCPD officer James Gordon, and Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth.

The Batman, according to Deadline, has earned upwards of $760 million dollars worldwide with over 4 million views on HBO Max.

Reeves took to the stage at CinemaCon with the following:
