MOLOSS Trailer: Veteran JCVD Screen Villain Lays Down The Law At BIFFF In Brussels This Month!

He appeared in several Jean-Claude Van Damme hits back in the day playing villain to the action star in Lionheart, The Quest and The Order. This time, actor Abdelkrim Qissi is taking the mantle and giving the business to some bad people his newest Belgian beat ’em up thriller, Moloss, which he also directed Abel Ernest Tembo.

A sixty-year-old who has always obediently followed the rules, suffers an existential burnout. He has always done his part and, in his own modest way, has worked for a better society. But that society has hit rock bottom and our former good Samaritan is no longer in the mood for concessions. Moloss is his name and he’s got a mission: to cure the world of a very human disease. But his method could not differ more from those of Gandhi or Mother Theresa. He’s certainly not turning the other cheek. His approach is a lot more direct, not to say radical. His very personal spin on the tactic of the scorched earth to make way for a better future implicates not only his daughter Doianna and his ex-wife Veronica, but many others who didn’t plan any revolution. Is he out of his mind? Desperate? Dangerous? Perhaps all three, but in his defense, it’s our society that has started it!

The project initially began as a short film between friends until Tembo, a journalist at the time, came aboard to help grow the project into its current fruition – or so it says on the official website for the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival which kicks off its 40th edition for a two-week run on August 29.

Alas, Moloss is now part of the festival’s line-up with a screening slated for August 31. The film also stars Patrick Ridremont, Jean Pierre Valère, Sabrina Capaldi, Dave Dimak and Tiziana Gosset.
