If Indian content on Netflix is your thing, then feel free to bookmark the two following programs coming soon to the streamer, firstly with Extraction co-star Randeep Hooda’s latest lead role in revenge crime drama series, Cat. The show hails from Movie Tunnel Productions and Jelly Bean Entertainment, and is directed by showrunner Balwinder Singh Janjua and co-directed by Rupinder Chahal and Anutej Singh.
Cat is set against the backdrop of the Punjab hinterlands where an innocent man is thrown into a deep, drug trafficking conspiracy between gang lords, cops and political powers. Janjua, Chahal and Singh wrote the series together with Anil Rodhan, with Janjua also producing alongside Panchali Chakraverty.
Also on deck from the streamer is revenge thriller feature, Thar, a first in Netflix’s collaborative resume with AKFC Network from debut writer/director Raj Singh Chaudhary. Starring Harsh Varrdhan Kappoor, Thar takes its cues from Western Noir genres and centers on Siddharth, who journeys to the city of Pushkar to avenge his past. As the logline asks: “Will he succeed or does Pushkar have something else to offer him?”
Thar also stars Anil Kapoor, Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Satish Kaushik.
