You’d have to see it to believe it, as this is the first look at Netflix‘s forthcoming animated series, Fast & Furious: Spy Racers. The teaser just screened on Wednesday among others for a raft of upcoming shows over at Annecy International Animated Film Festival in Annecy, France.
Teenager Tony Toretto follows in the footsteps of his cousin Dom when he and his friends are recruited by a government agency to infiltrate an elite racing league serving as a front for a nefarious crime organization bent on world domination.
As far as world-building goes, I wouldn’t count-out potentially seeing characters from this series pop up in the upcoming ninth and tenth films.
Fast & Furious: Spy Racers was announced last Spring and has the franchise’s own Vin Diesel serving as one of its executive producers. Also exec producing are Tim Hedrick (DreamWorks Voltron Legendary Defender) and Bret Haaland (All Hail King Julien) among the team involved.
