ONE CUT OF THE DEAD: Don’t Miss The Official Trailer For Shinichiro Ueda’s Surprise Hit Zombie Romp

Shinichiro Ueda’s rousing zombie comedy, One Cut Of The Dead, is heading for a series of one-night screenings in select cities beginning September 13 in New York and Los Angeles. Alas, U.S. horror brand Shudder, who acquired the film officially back in April, finally unveiled the trailer this week in what feels like a true moment of exhaling for moviegoers who’ve waited painfully in the last two years.

While shooting a low-budget zombie film in an abandoned warehouse, the crew find themselves caught between actual zombies and a mad director who won’t stop rolling. If you think you know what happens next, think again. Filmmaker Shinichiro Ueda turns the film on its head more than once for one of the wildest, funniest, and most surprising zombie movies of all time.

The brainchild of Koji Ishihashi’s Enbu Seminar, the film became a surprise hit in Japan in 2017 before earning more than $30 million dollars worldwide, and all from a $27,000 budget. Adam Torel’s Third Window Films graced the UK with a DVD release earlier this year.

Talks of an English-language reimagining notwithstanding, there’s definitely more to come from its endeavor and I can’t wait to see how it unfolds.

Tickets are now on sale, so be sure to tune in to the film’s official website for all your single-take undead laughs!
