PARASYTE: THE GREY Terrorizes Mankind In First Season Trailer

Buy Me A Coffee

I’ve yet to familiarize myself with Takashi Yamazaki’s take on mangaka Hitoshi Iwaaki’s Parasyte books with Shota Sometani starring. With time and luck I can hopefully snag those discs, while Netflix is certainly getting on the bandwagon with its own expansion of the IP in the form of Parasyte: The Grey.

As fans know it, the world of Parastye is set in one where mankind finds itself invaded by alien parasytes seeking human hosts. Per Netflix: “The plot revolves around Su-in (Jeon So-nee), a woman grappling with her new reality of coexisting with a parasite, and the relentless Team Grey, a group committed to fighting against these unidentified parasitic life-forms.

“…These parasites, intent on multiplying, control humans and mimic their behavior while posing a sinister threat. Amidst this looming situation, Kang-woo (Koo Kyo-hwan) is shown in the middle of his search for his missing sibling while hiding from a parasite hunting him. Led by Jun-kyung (Lee Jung-hyun), Team Grey engages in a dangerous battle with the parasites, showing what both sides are capable of in this war with no clear end in sight.”

Parastye: The Grey comes from director Yeon Sang-ho who has made his artistic case clear in the last decade putting out bangers like Train To Busan and hit series “Hellhound.” Yeon also penned the series with co-scribe Ryu Yong-jae, with Climax Studio and WOW POINT producing.

April 5 is the date. Check out the trailer!
