Four years in the making, and with a crew of just over seventy people during that period, in part, is what it took to manifest what we now know as writer/director Tamim Kaiwani’s new sci-fi action thriller, Projekt Adler: Die Zeit Rennt. I caught wind of this film sometime last year and tried to contact an individual close to it – that is, to no avail – which now leads to this latest catch-up effort on my end with KinoCheck’s exclusive trailer premiere from just a few weeks ago.

Of course, the reason why it was on-and-off my radar for so long was due to the attachment of actor and avowed stunt professional and rising star Andy Long Nguyen. He’s been making a killing on both sides of the lens in the last several years since his CZ12 heyday, making headway as an elite member of Jackie Chan’s legendary stunt team and ultimately building his resumè in both stunts and acting, directing and starring in Luc Van Tien (2017), and additionally working with the likes of Daniel Wu (AMC’s Into The Badlands), Vidyut Jammwal (Sanak, Commando 3), and as recently as Scott Adkins (Boyka: Undisputed, upcoming Accident Man 2) and Vijay Deverakonda (upcoming Liger) to name a few.

Thus, you can safely say that Nguyen plies his trade here once more, hailing the latest generation of the Andy Long Stunt Team in service of Projekt Adler: Die Zeit Rennt as action director. For this, Long also stars in the film, shepherding the narrative with lead actor Salomon Wise who also serves as producer.

There’s also a February release date for the film which probably isn’t the case anymore considering KinoCheck has an undated 2022 release as of this write-up. As for story details, Projekt Adler: Die Zeit Rennt centers on Rammy (Wise) and Danny (Long), two contract thieves eager to go legit and find a new line of work. Their friendship is soon put to the ultimate test when the mafia boss they’re indebted to dupes them into taking a suicide mission to retrieve a Nazi relic from an evil Colonel who wants to rule the world.

Long has some outdoor BTS gems of him doing some stuntwork on his Instagram page, and credit to Tanguy Guinchard for the cool pictorals, all of which you can view here. In the meantime, peep the trailer above and the poster below, and as always, if I catch onto any market traction, I’ll be sure to share it if it’s reportable.
