Folks keen on more chilling content and are subscribed to AMC’s premium horror streamer, Shudder, can look forward Quicksand, the new English-language Colombian survival thriller coming this summer. The official trailer made its debut this week as well, with a script written by Matt Pitts, and directed by Andrés Beltrán (Tarumama).
In Quicksand, an American couple, on the brink of divorce, travel to Colombia for a work conference. While on a hike through the rainforest, a storm causes them to become trapped in a pit of quicksand. Unable to move, it becomes a struggle for survival as they battle the elements of the jungle and a venomous snake, in order to escape. Starring Carolina Gaitàn (Encanto) and Allan Hawco (Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan).
Quicksand will release as a Shudder Original on Shudder beginning July 14, in addition to launching on AMC+ the same day.
